What is a B Corporation?
Certified B Corporations are leaders of a global movement of people using business as a force for good. There is a vision for a new kind of corporation – the B Corporation- one that benefits all stakeholders, not just shareholders. These B Corporations meet the highest standards of overall social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability and aspire to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. There are more than 2,000 Certified B Corporations in over 130 industries and 50 countries with 1 unifying goal – to redefine success in business.
The performance standards B Corps meet are comprehensive, transparent and verified. They measure a company’s impact on all its stakeholders (e.g. workers, suppliers, community, customers and the environment).
Why is BlueWave a Certified B Corporation?
We became a B Corp because we believe BlueWave can we be a better company in the world and for the world. Our mission to make clean energy accessible to everyone, everywhere includes our company contributing to that positive change. Using business as a force for good is not just good business, it’s the only way we want to do business. We are committed to transparency, sustainability and improving the lives of others.
Joining the B Corp community is strongly aligned with our mission to provide Solar for the 100%. We want these values to be woven throughout everything we do. Positively impacting the communities we work with, live in and support is the right thing to do and we look forward to doing it with our fellow B-Corporations. The B Corp Declaration of Interdependence states that “all business should be conducted as if people and place matter,” and we couldn’t agree more.
What does that mean for you?
When you join the BlueWave community you have the peace of mind knowing that we are doing all that we can to be transparent, sustainable and “good.” We don’t just want to do business, we want to do good business. We are held to higher standards when it comes to our impact on the environment, our employees, our communities, and you, our customers.
